This is the dream both Barrington and Carol received on the same night — the God-given revelation that started everything. It remains alive, protected, and awaiting His perfect timing.
MISSION
“Serving families, children, and widows through Christ-centered outreach, support, discipleship, and community engagement.”
Right now, Safe Harbour International carries out this mission by:
● Supporting vulnerable families in crisis
● Assisting children in need through local outreach and partnerships
● Ministering to widows in distress through home visits and practical aid
● Partnering with churches, schools, and community leaders
● Providing food, prayer, and encouragement to the most vulnerable
● Serving indigenous and rural communities
● Responding to the real needs we observe through interviews, events, and relationships
● Strengthening families whenever possible, as our first priority
● Walking in obedience to the laws, regulations, and permissions of the country we serve in
Our current mission is hands-on, immediate, relational, and obedient to the season God has us in right now.
VISION
“To be a visible expression of Christ’s love in Panama — strengthening families, restoring hope, supporting widows and children, and building trust through consistent, compassionate outreach.”
This vision focuses on:
● Building long-term relationships with communities
● Developing trust with families and leaders
● Demonstrating the Gospel through action
● Being present in the most vulnerable places
● Using our God-given land, gifts, and time for practical ministry
● Creating a foundation that is strong, biblical, and lasting
This vision is the bridge toward the future God has already spoken
🟩 FUTURE MISSION
“To provide Christ-centered Safe Homes where children can grow in a family environment through love, structure, discipleship, and holistic development.”
This mission includes:
● Establishing small family-style homes with house parents (7–12 children)
● Offering children the stability, attention, and care they cannot receive in institutional settings
● Developing children mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially (Luke 2:52)
● Creating environments that reflect what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8)
● Raising children who know the love of Jesus, the value of family, and their God-given potential
● Preparing young people for independence with life skills, spiritual training, and mentorship
● Operating fully within the legal, cultural, and governmental guidelines of Panama
The future mission remains unchanged in calling, but waits on God's timing, provision, and governmental approval.

● A peaceful environment that reflects the heart of God
