Safe Harbour International serves children, widows, families, and vulnerable communities throughout Panama through Christ-centered, hands-on programs that bring hope, relief, and restoration.
Each program reflects our five foundational commitments:

Family Strengthening & Child Support
Safe Harbour International prioritizes the strengthening and preservation of families. We believe God’s design places children in loving, stable homes whenever it is safe and possible.
We offer support through:
● Home visits
● Encouragement, prayer, and spiritual guidance
● Emergency assistance
● Family crisis support
● School-related help when possible
● Helping households stabilize after hardship
● Walking alongside families with dignity and compassion
Our first goal is always to support and strengthen the family unit.
Indigenous Outreach (Ngöbe-Buglé Communities)
Safe Harbour serves marginalized indigenous families with compassion and cultural sensitivity.
Our outreach includes:
● Food support
● Needs-based family visits
● Ministry to young mothers
● Prayer and spiritual encouragement
● Identifying urgent community needs
● Providing relational support and presence
● Partnering with churches and individuals familiar with the community
These communities often face significant challenges, and our goal is to bring hope, stability, and Christ-centered love.
Food Distribution & Emergency Relief
We provide food assistance to families, widows, and individuals facing:
● Crisis
● Economic hardship
● Medical-related stress
● Food insecurity
● Unexpected emergencies
Food is distributed through home visits, church partnerships, outreach programs, and direct referrals.
Widow Care & Support
Widows are precious to God, and they are precious to us.
Our widow care includes:
● Personal home visits
● Emotional and spiritual support
● Practical help with everyday needs
● Prayer, encouragement, and companionship
● Connecting widows with community resources and church support

Community Outreach & Events
“To provide Christ-centered Safe Homes where children can grow in a family environment through love, structure, discipleship, and holistic development.”
This mission includes:
● Establishing small family-style homes with house parents (7–12 children)
● Offering children the stability, attention, and care they cannot receive in institutional settings
● Developing children mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially (Luke 2:52)
● Creating environments that reflect what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8)
● Raising children who know the love of Jesus, the value of family, and their God-given potential
● Preparing young people for independence with life skills, spiritual training, and mentorship
● Operating fully within the legal, cultural, and governmental guidelines of Panama
The future mission remains unchanged in calling, but waits on God's timing, provision, and governmental approval.
Teaching, Discipleship & Spiritual Development
We are deeply committed to spiritual formation and biblical growth.
Activities include:
● Teaching the Word of God
● One-on-one discipleship
● Children and youth mentoring
● Prayer support
● Family encouragement and counsel
● Practical guidance rooted in Scripture
We emphasize holistic development — mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially.
Building Projects & Property Development
Safe Harbour International assists with small building projects and repairs when able, helping families in need of practical support. We also continue preparing our ministry property in Boquete, Chiriquí for the long-term vision God has placed in our hearts.
Long-Term Vision: Family-Style Safe Homes
This vision remains at the heart of Safe Harbour International.
When God opens the door and the proper permissions are granted, we plan to establish:
● Small family-style homes (7–12 children each)
● Christian house parents
● Holistic development environments
● Educational support
● Life-skills training
● Discipleship and spiritual growth
● A peaceful, Christ-centered community
