Who we are
Safe Harbour International began when God gave both Barrington and Carol Bryan the same vision through a dream, approximately 4–5 years after purchasing their investment land in Boquete, Panama in 2007. Through this God-given dream, it became clear that the land was to be used as a place of nurturing, restoration, and discipleship for children at-risk — a Christ-centered Safe Home built on love, structure, and biblical principles. After years of preparation, prayer, waiting, and confirmation — not yet fully understanding how the vision would unfold — Barrington and Carol took a courageous step of faith. On June 15, 2018, they moved from Florida to Panama in full obedience to God’s call, selling their home, vehicles, and possessions to dedicate their lives completely to the ministry God entrusted to them.

BARRINGTON BRYAN
President & Co-Founder – Safe Harbour International
Barrington Bryan’s life has been one of preparation and service. As the second of nine
children, his early years taught him responsibility, teamwork, and leadership. His journey has
included athletic pursuits, service in the U.S. Navy, public service roles, and missionary
work—experiences that shaped a deep compassion and responsiveness to the needs of
others. A man of diverse abilities, Barrington has gained experience in music (as a drummer),
automotive technology, real estate, business, e-commerce, stock trading, and project

CAROL BRYAN
Carol Bryan brings a wealth of life experience, practical skills, and a deep heart for service to her role as Co-Founder of Safe Harbour International. Her diverse background includes office administration, secretarial work, homeschooling, private tutoring, and event coordination—from weddings to community gatherings. A gifted cook, she approaches hospitality as both an art and a ministry...
ALEJANDRO HENRIQUEZ
Alejandro Henriquez serves on the Board of Directors of Safe Harbour International, contributing his expertise in legal counsel and fundraising. He is currently an owner at Lumentum LLC, a USA-based tech company serving the unique needs of institutional distressed real estate investors. Alejandro has helped establish ministries within his community and is part of a large foundation that supports over 20 ministries in Venezuela...
FUTURE PLANS
“To provide Christ-centered Safe Homes where children can grow in a family environment through love, structure, discipleship, and holistic development.”
This mission includes:
● Establishing small family-style homes with house parents (7–12 children)
● Offering children the stability, attention, and care they cannot receive in institutional settings
● Developing children mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially (Luke 2:52)
● Creating environments that reflect what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8)
● Raising children who know the love of Jesus, the value of family, and their God-given potential
● Preparing young people for independence with life skills, spiritual training, and mentorship
● Operating fully within the legal, cultural, and governmental guidelines of Panama
The future mission remains unchanged in calling, but waits on God's timing, provision, and governmental approval.
